We stayed at the Raystown Lake Resort in a waterfront villa and brought our own boat. We had trouble using the phone because no where did it say file 9 first. The lake is awesome and so many places to go. Towards the middle of the lake and convenient. The Yurt! However, we stayed in one of the cabins. Comfy bed, double bunk beds, (although a chair or two would be nice) cable TV and AC during the hottest week so far. Black feet when walking barefoot. We loved the space and going through the French doors to the outside deck was just perfect. Careful on the steep steps down to the cabins. Would stay again because we are boaters and enjoy the lake but wouldn't stay here again if I didn't have a boat.Waterfront camping here means you will be in the middle of the boat launch parking lot, public playground, on the dirt path to concession and zero privacy.

Dogs must be under physical control at all times and cannot be left unattended. Dogs must have current rabies vaccinations and valid license; documentation must be presented upon check-in. But we were so bored and there was literally nothing to do. If you HAVE to come here for an event for overnight, it's ok. (But srsly--too remote for an over night stay) we were in pine lake cabins--nice and clean--no problems.
The beds feel like you are sleeping on the picnic table and don't forget your pillow!What a disaster first night here out of 3 campsites one doesn't have water one doesn't have electricity pay top dollar for lakeside campsite and this is what you get the bathroom smell worse than a porta John on a 90-degree day if the rest of the week goes anything like the first 2 hours we are screwed stayed here many of times and just gets worse every year and work spensive every yearBooked a king room at the lodge for 2 nights during the week. Our stay was too long--thurs to Sunday.The resort was recently bought by a "big box" corporate chain of campgrounds and it shows in the quality of the resort. The restaurant is also good. Read more. Our room was comfortable but we had a few bugs, bed and tub. We had to pay 30 bucks for linens. An ideal venue for family vacations,weddings, or business meetings.
