I have two children. Mrs. Michel is married to her amazing husband, Art, and has two fantastic sons, Quinton and Mason.
I enjoy biking, swimming, taking long walks with my family that usually end up at a park, and just about anything out in the sunshine.
She looks forward to an amazing year getting to know her students and their families! She is a graduate of Boise State University in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education, and has taught now for 18 years, all in the 1st grade. I have a minor in art and enjoy teaching and encouraging my students to love and appreciate the many elements of art. Aspen, her husband and their three children have now been here since March 2017 and are so thankful for their new lives in the Treasure Valley. Her education includes a B.S. Mrs. Michel has taught multiple grades ranging from first to seventh grade. I owned that center for 10 years before selling it to teach. Katie earned her B.S. It is my personal goal to try and ensure that I am providing a rich learning environment in which my students are able to reach and/or exceed each of their personal capabilities.
She feels very blessed to work with the incredible children who attend this school.When she is not teaching, she can be found spending time with her three children, Connor (21), Hannah (17), and Emma (14). The good vibes are strong! The family enjoys spending time in the mountains surrounding Cascade and McCall, watching soccer games, and attending swim meets and volleyball games. A few years past and a few babies later, she found herself back in the classroom. Santa Barbara, California and received her degree in Business and Economics. The three of them stay very active together whether it’s fishing for bass on the Snake, or golfing, riding bikes, or ATV’s. I am extremely devoted to teaching each and every one of the students in my class. Mrs. Rodeghiero completed her Elementary education degree at BSU. Maryann has taught students in various settings; as an English Language Learner Teacher in grades kinder through 5th, a Reading Interventionist, a Junior 1st grade teacher, and finally where she feels the most at home, 3rd grade! Mrs. Loos attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho for both undergraduate and graduate school, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is so happy to have found the most amazing school of all at North Star Charter School! From there she decided to further her education and earned a Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in Gifted and Talented Education. Mrs Lozoya is overjoyed to be starting her 4th year as part of the North Star team. She graduated from Boise High exactly 75 years after her great grandfather and 50 years after her grandfather. In 2017, Will earned a Masters of Educational Leadership. When not in the classroom working with children, Melissa taught night classes at the Teachers College of San Joaquin where she was able to use her experiences and knowledge to help new educators work towards the completion of their teaching credential for the state of CA. She attended Brigham Young University where she received her degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT and moved to Boise, ID with her husband, Mark, in 1995. Even though she won’t be in her classroom, she’ll be able to visit all the students in the elementary classrooms, which is her favorite thing to do! the Curse” of the Boston Redsox (still cheering), but that she met and She believes in making a good connection with each kid and strives hard for them students to feel safe to take risks in her classroom.
