Everything about the movie screams low-budget, even the inspiration to use Rumpelstiltskin as a villain felt like it was just an uninspired choice to use as a horror villain. It's all a tad more serious here.

.5/10 Gold. She defeats him and saves her child. The situations are entirely unrealistic, but that's about as minor a complaint I can throw at the movie as everything else. You'll never think it's good, but at least it's an entertainingly bad horror movie. I know that it was kinda played for laughs as well as 'scares' but it failed completely on that level too. This film is really 90's.

I guess wisecracking leprechauns and baby stealing goblins have to be handled differently. It's got terrible acting, terrible cinematography, horrifyingly bad writing, somehow even worse editing. The king entertained this wild story by locking the girl into a room full of straw and demanding her to spin the entirety into gold.
