On TripAdvisor etc, everyone gives this temple such a great rating, but when I was in Bali I was only recommended to visit Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Besakih etc…. Tirta Empul Temple can be crowded, so we recommend booking e-tickets ahead of time to secure your spot. You will not regret to visit Bali island over and over again to enjoy the beauty of it. Based on Bali’s holy book called Usana Bali, it was said to be a legend that the spring water from Tirta Empul Temple was created by God Indra. Local people usually line up in the water to get their time at a water sprout for ritual purification. It’s a nice place to visit and relax after the hustle and bustle of the purification pools.The inner courtyard is where people come to pray. Im travelling by my own and i didnt book any tour as well.
